Rabbi Avi Farkas is the Director of Ignite757, a Jewish Kiruv (Jewish outreach) organization based in Norfolk, VA. Originally from Toronto, Canada, Rabbi Farkas studied in-depth Talmudic studies at Yeshivas Kodoshim under Harav Tzvi Kaplan in Jerusalem. An avid outdoor enthusiast, he enjoys the warm Virginia weather where he can pursue his passions like biking, swimming, fishing, and boating. Additionally, Rabbi Farkas is a certified EMT volunteering at Virginia Beach EMS.

Miriam Farkas is the backbone of the dynamic Farkas duo. With her enthusiasm and smile, she is the face of our women’s programming. Anyone who meets her is taken in by her warmth and genuine friendship. When Miriam invites you for a Shabbat meal or class, you just can’t help but say yes.

Rabbi Danziger is the heart of all things Torah in the Hampton Roads. As Dean of the Norfolk Kollel, he oversees the Torah development of a diverse group from young Rabbis in training to laymen, including overseeing our outreach efforts to reach secular Jews. Originally from Buffalo, NY, Rabbi Danziger attended Yeshivas Ner Yisroel in Baltimore, after which he studied under HaRav Yaakov Friedman in Eretz Yisroel for thirteen years. Rabbi Danziger’s enthusiasm for Judaism is contagious, and a true asset to the community.
